Should budgetary constraints not be an issue and you prefer an all natural fabric we would recommend the more value added Gold or Silver and Diamond fabrics for all your suiting needs and the Platinum collections for your shirts as the best option. However, our Platinum fabrics are highly recommended as well especially if you travel and tend to be harder on your garments, they are more durable than the all natural fabrics.

Our Silver and Diamond collections do not contain any synthetic fibers are all natural and are the crème de la crème of our collections. They contain the lowest of the micron values 15.5 this is our Super 150's fabrics.

We also carry Dupioni Silks in 100’s of colors,  they have there own classification along with our Super 180’s and Super 200’s. My cost are extensive on these two fabrics. They are very exclusive,  the fabrics are incredible.

Cashmere:
Cashmere is a general term used for the fine under-hair of the Asiatic Falconeri goat and has a fiber diameter of less  than 19 microns. The Falconeri goat lives and breeds in China, Mongolia, Afghanistan and Iran. The under-hair is the ultra-fine and extremely dense part of the fleece which has excellent heat retention properties enabling the goat to withstand the extremely cold climatic conditions at altitudes that exceed 5,000 m.

The finest quality of cashmere is found in China, more specifically in Mongolia. This latter cashmere is more exclusive due to its rarity. As the Mongolian goat only sheds its fine undercoat once a year, in spring, producing just 100 to 150 g of cashmere hair, it is easy to understand why cashmere is regarded as one of the most expensive fibers in the world. The ultra-soft touch and its excellent heat retention are its most important properties.

Merino Wool:
Merinos are shorn to the skin at intervals of between 9 and 12 months, and each sheep produces 2.5 to 4.5 kg of greasy wool per year. The finer, shorter wools are found around the neck and belly. Coarser wools come from the legs and tail. Merino wools have a certain degree of luster, are generally short in length (between 3.5 and 12.5 cm), are very fine (under 27 microns), soft and have a uniformly curled fleece. These properties make the Merino fiber the most valuable of "worsted" goods.

Since The Executive’s Closet puts quality first, only the finest wools are used. One important factor in achieving high quality is the ability to procure ultra-fine wools. These wools are difficult to find and are always in short supply because production depends on weather conditions and can be as low as 1,000 kg per autumn. They generally come from the second clip, which is the first time a young mature sheep is sheared after it has been clipped as a lamb. These wools usually come from a special breed of Merino Hoggets, kept in sheltered conditions where they can be protected from insects and dirt. Genetic research and experimental interbreeding to get even greater consistency in fiber length and fineness reflect the high-tech approach to wool growing that is needed to create today's lighter and finer weaves.

A wool's quality is classified by the fineness of its fibers in microns, as well as by its tensile strength, color and crimp. These terms are all combined in a classification known as a "Super", which was created by the National Wool Textile Export Corporation (NWTEC). The initial classifications of Super 80's and Super 100's each denoted the maximum worsted-yarn count to which the wool could be spun.

Silk:
The silk fiber is produced by the larvae of the Bombyx Maori moth. The larvae live on mulberry leaves and are often called mulberry silk larvae. The female moth lays as many as 700 eggs as small as a pinhead.

Once the larvae have grown to 1.3 cm diameter, they are able to spin a cocoon of silk filaments. All these cocoons are then collected from the trees and shrubs, and the silk filaments are unwound. The silk is often white or cream-colored and has a high natural luster due to its smooth surface. Silk filaments are very fine (as low as 9 microns) and long, frequently measuring 1,000 m to 2,750 m, representing less than half a gram of silk. At The Executive’s Closet we incorporate the finest of silks into our suits.
