Techniques and Standards for Shirts
The cornerstone of custom-made garments is meticulous tailoring. The Executive’s Closet has spent seven years spanning the globe to assemble a world-class team of master tailors who create beautiful clothing for our clientele. We import cloth from the finest mills in Europe and around the world, offering thousands of quality fabrics and many styles to choose from.
Italian fusing with premium interlinings produce a smooth, crisp collar that retains its shape over time. A non-fused soft collar (English method) can be crafted upon request.
Collars and cuffs have removable stays, allowing the same shirt to be worn formally or casually.
An elasticized collar provides a comfortable fit; detachable collar available upon request.
Cuffs have an expandable button stance for comfort with a watch or bracelet.
Sleeve-to-cuff pleating gives balance to sleeves, and no stitches are visible when sleeves are rolled up.
Pearl-coated mylar buttons are cross stitched for extra strength; mother of pearl buttons are available upon request.
Stitch count is 120 and above, with a minimum of 18 stitches per-inch for strong, flat seams.
Durable silk or cotton/poly non-shrink thread is used with extra fine needles.
Elegant monogramming is available.
